hes one of my fave guitar players, the vuk symphony is great, if you liked the sample in the video, go buy it, its amazing
fran started at a late age (18-19 i think) and look how good he is in what i think is 5-6 years (roberto will correct me on this)
his touch, control and intonation are top notch, compare the control on this and then watch another youtube guitarist and you will see what myself and a few others see in playing

Rubbish player.
I don't think anyone could seriously say he is just a good metal player. He can just apply what he learns to his own style (which happens to be metal at the core).
He's been playing longer than 6 years. I think it's nearer 9-10.

yup just checked, he started playing at 18
and is now 29, so 11 years and hes that good
in reference to your post steve yeah, he applies a lot of the styles you see in the vid to his own metal vibe, some people just generalise it as metal when they dont know jack about whats actually going on
i find it funny though and ive said this everytime ive brought fran up either with HOA, videos or his solo music, that comments are minimal yet if it was someone who is flavour of the month, they would be swarmed with bashing or bigging them up
in most cases for the wrong reasons, i actually wonder who took in what i said about watching this video, then some other solo guitar video, or one of their own even and seeing what touch, control etc means
it just seems far easier to ignore these issues, yet these are the people who try to sound pro on the board
hopefully people here get what i'm saying and not start crying that ali is being the antichrist again

Fran has been playing for about 10 years now... though, his technique, in many ways was already in place at the 4 year mark. He has always had good time and played in tune, he has just developed and refined some of this mechanics over the past 6 years.
